Adult Art Classes
This ten week program will teach the beginner as well as the advanced student the art of painting portrait, landscapes and still-life’s in pastel from photographs. The first lesson will include a portrait and landscape demonstration. Each student will receive the individual attention required at their own pace and level expertise. Arleen Urban, the instructor for this class, is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America. Students must purchase their own art supplies. A list of supplies will be given at their first lesson.

Adult Basketball on Saturdays
Beginning Saturday December 3, the Department of Recreation and Parks will again offer Adult basketball in the Middle School’s South Gym from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. This free program is open to Residents who have graduated high school and older. Proof of residency is required. Games are in “pick up” format and the sessions are monitored by Rich Anderson. This program will run until February.
When: Winter Months beginning Saturday December 3

Adult Co-Ed Volleyball
Exciting volleyball action awaits you each Thursday evening from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. in the St. Paul’s Field House during this fast paced program. This co-ed volleyball program features “recreational oriented” games, and is a great way to meet people while you shape up. This program is open to all Village residents who are college age or older. There is no pre-registration required for this program, but proof of residency in the Inc. Village of Garden City will be required.
When: Every Thursday night beginning the week of October 15th

Adult C0-Ed Soccer
Our Indoor Soccer is offered during the school year to adults aged 18 and older who are residents of the Inc. Village of Garden City. This free program is held on Thursday evenings from 8:30 – 10:00 p.m. in St. Paul’s Field House. Games are strictly pick up. Photo ID is required to participate and offered to all Village residents who are college age or older. This program is offered from October through May.

Cluett Hall Indoor Running Track
The indoor running track in Cluett Hall is open and available for resident’s use. Twenty (20) laps of this track is the equal of one (1) mile. The following guidelines have been established for everyone’s safety and enjoyment. (The track is not open during the Summer Season)
-The track will be open only when there is a Recreation Supervisor on duty.
-Residents wishing to use the track must check in with the Supervisor on duty.
-Residents of High School age and older may use the track only.
-Track is limited to individuals and cannot be used for team workouts
-The track will be closed during scheduled activities such as dances, various performances, movies, yoga, etc which are being held in the Cultural and Performing Arts Center in Cluett Hall.

Men’s Open Basketball
Show off your best movies during the Open Basketball Program, which is held each Monday and Wednesday evening from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. in the St. Paul’s Field House. Games are strictly “pick-up”, and our supervisors keep things moving and work to involve all the participants. There is no pre-registration required but proof of residency of the Inc. Village of Garden City will be required.

Men's Over 40 Basketball
Every Monday and Wednesday evening brings out the Over 40 age group for an evening of basketball at St. Paul’s Field House. The program is held from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m., and games are strictly “pick up”. This program is open to all Village residents who are college age or older. There is no pre-registration for this program, but proof of residency in the Inc. Village of Garden City is required.
