Pool Memberships are Now Available for Purchase!
We are excited to announce that registration for The Garden City Pool will be available online via the CommunityPass registration system starting Monday, APRIL 20, 2026!
Due to a change in recreation software EVERY HOUSEHOLD must create a new account.
As Online registration for programs begin, we encourage all families that will be registering to create their CommunityPass Account NOW!

In order to register for pool memberships or future programs you MUST first create an account.
To create a new account, register an existing account, login or register for a program, follow the instructions found within this email or on the CommunityPass site.
Many of our programs, including the Garden City Swimming Pool memberships have residency requirements. In order to verify your residency on your account and gain access to registration for these programs, you must send a copy of your driver’s license AND a utility bill to gcrec@gardencityny.net *
Summer Employment Applications Available!
We are now accepting applications for summer jobs at the local parks as well as the pool. Please find the attached application by clicking the upcoming programs button above, the application is under the PDF attachments at the end of the page. Once the application has been filled out, they may be returned to the Recreation Office at 108 Rockaway Ave. or they can be emailed to gcrec@gardencityny.net.
For any new employees that have never worked for the village before, we will set up an interview date after we have received your application.
PLEASE NOTE: All applicants must be 16 years of age or older to work as an attendant at the pool or in the playgrounds. Lifeguards must be 15 years old or older. All lifeguards must have a valid Nassau County certification as well as a valid Red Cross certification to work at the pool.
Indoor Adult Programs!
Indoor adult programs will begin again in St. Paul's Fieldhouse on Tuesday, October 14th. Programs are open to Garden City residents only, and one guest. the schedule is as follows:
- Pickleball- Tuesdays through Fridays, and Sundays 9:00am to Noon
- Basketball- Mondays and Wednesdays 7:30pm-10pm
- Soccer and Volleyball- Thursdays 7:30pm-10pm
Each session will consist of open play, where everyone attending will round robin in to play. There will be no reserving of courts for individual play. A monitor will be available for any person wishing to learn Pickleball. The fee to attend is as follows:
$50 Play Pass – good for any 13 visits for
Adult Fieldhouse sports
$25 Play Pass – good for any 6 visits for
Adult Fieldhouse sports
A participant may also “pay as you go” but payment will only be accepted by check, credit card (except American Express), and EXACT CHANGE IS ACCEPTED. “Pay as you go” prices will be $5. Passes may be purchased at the fieldhouse when arriving for your sport or you may come into the Recreation Office at 108 Rockaway Ave all passes are available through CommunityPass.

Three simple steps to create a CommunityPass account:

2. Verify your residency with 2 proofs of residency (ID and utility bill) by email (gcrec@gardencityny.net) or at the Pool (52 Cherry Valley Lane) or Cottages (108 Rockaway Avenue)
3. Login to your new account and hit the “Click Here To Register” button to find the type of Membership you want to purchase.
Village Tree Code has been Updated

St. Paul's Recreation Complex
Community Park is the heart and soul of the department. This park is home to our Tennis Center, Platform Tennis Courts, Clubhouse, Mini Golf, and newly renovated baseball/softball turf fields, and multi-use sports field.

St. Paul's Recreation Complex
Located in the middle of beautiful Garden City, the St. Paul's Recreation complex is used year round! Thirty acres of fields are used for various sports and events. In addition the complex has a Performing Arts Center and houses four full basketball courts.
Senior Center
The Department of Recreation and Parks sponsors a full range of activities, programs and trips to entertain our seniors.
Residents must be age 60 and older and reside within the Village of Garden City to use the facility.

More than just a standard municipal pool this facility continues to maintain a “Club Like” atmosphere with landscaped grounds, shade structures, and an interactive play pool and slides. We are “Fun in the Sun!”
